Public Consultation: Tendring District Local Plan Section 2 Proposed Main Modifications

Following Examination hearing sessions conducted, virtually online, by a government-appointed Planning Inspector in February and March 2021, a focused 6 week consultation on Proposed Main Modifications to the Draft Section 2 of the Local Plan is now taking place in accordance with section 20 (7C) of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004.

Available for consultation are:

• Schedule of Proposed Main Modifications

• Schedule of Proposed Additional Modifications

• Schedule of Proposed Modifications to the Local Plan Maps

• Associated Sustainability Appraisal

• Associated Habitats Regulation Assessment

The consultation period opens on Friday 16th July 2021 and will close at 5.00pm on Tuesday 31st August 2021 – a period of just over six weeks. Any comments received during this period will be forwarded to the Inspectors, who will take them into account in coming to their final recommendations on legal compliance and soundness of the Section 2 Local Plan and the modifications that will need to be made to the Plan before the Council can proceed to its formal adoption. Any comments received after 5pm on Tuesday 31st August 2021 will not be considered.

The consultation relates specifically to the five documents listed above. This consultation is not an opportunity to repeat or raise further representations about the published plan or to seek further changes to the plan.
